Former France Prime Minister, Jean-Mark Ero, became the chairman of the newly formed parliamentary friendship group between France and Ukraine. This initiative is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and supporting Ukraine in the conditions of a continuing war with Russia.
Due to its political experience and close relations with Ukraine, Era will help to intensify cooperation between countries in different spheres - from defense to economy and culture. The friendship group aims not only to political support, but also to intensify humanitarian initiatives, as well as to promote Ukrainian culture in France. Era, who was the French Prime Minister in 2012-2014, is known for his active position on supporting Ukraine in its struggle for independence. This appointment demonstrates the growing interest of France in Ukraine and its support in the international arena.
The Friendship Group, which unites the French parliamentarians, also aims to establish a constant dialogue between the deputies of both countries to exchange experience and best practices.
