The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, declared on the air of the Telemarhon that the Russian invaders operating in the Zaporozhye direction, execute Ukrainian prisoners and also eliminate their own fighters, deprived of motivation to continue the fighting.
According to the mayor, he has information about these events from open sources, and stressed that the occupiers resort to different methods to resist the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction. He noted that Russian troops are afraid to lose control of cities, such as Tokmak and Melitopol, if failed to maintain defense.
Fedorov emphasized that Russian invaders are in a pre -aggressive state, but do not withstand the pressure exerted by Ukrainian armed forces. He also noted that the Russian army conducts intensive purification among its own ranks in the Zaporozhye direction due to problems with the motivation of fighters to continue the fighting.
According to him, many Russian servicemen do not want to continue fighting against the Armed Forces and want to hand over weapons. Locals report frequent cases of detection of shot Russian military in occupied parts of Zaporozhye, which are manifested without any intervention. This indicates that self -liquidation of unmotivated fighters began in the ranks of the Russian troops.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning of October 31, the Ukrainian military continues to defend themselves in the east and south of the country, as well as conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Bakhmut directions. During the last day, 36 combat clashes took place. The situation on the front remains tense.
