The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Georgy Tykhy categorically rejected the accusations from Russia about the alleged involvement of Ukraine in the success of the rebels in Syria. In his comment, the quiet emphasized that Ukraine adheres to the rules of international law and the principles of sovereignty of other states, while Moscow and its allies are responsible for the destabilization of the region.
The spokesman also pointed to a decrease in Russia's military presence in Syria due to significant losses in the war against Ukraine.
The Ukrainian side considers such accusations an attempt by Russia to distract from its own failures both in Syria and in Ukraine, where its armed forces suffer serious losses.
