The 37-year-old man, suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack in the city of Dnipro on December 14, chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period of 60 days without the right of bail. He is threatened with life imprisonment for committing a crime.
As a result of an explosion, a person was killed in one of the city districts, and several other people, including two law enforcement officers, were injured. The victims were taken to the hospital, and specialists began to work at the scene immediately. Later, the National Police reported the detention of the suspect. According to preliminary data, a 37-year-old man acted according to the instructions of the Russian special services. It is known that in 2019 he was in Moscow. The prosecutor's office of Dnipropetrovsk region raised suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - a terrorist act that led to the death of a person. If guilty is proven, a lived one may wait for life imprisonment.
At the court hearing, the man stated that he was "substituted". According to him, the so -called "curator" instructed to pour a person who allegedly took bribes. He seemed to know anything about explosives. The suspect noted that he was working as a bartender and decided to take revenge on the "bribery", whom they were ordered. At the same time, the prosecutor's office provided evidence that testifies to the possible connection of a man with special services of the Russian Federation.
The explosion struck on Saturday, December 14. As a result, the serviceman was killed, two police officers were in serious condition. The event caused considerable resonance in society, and the detention of the suspect has become one of the main news. The case is considered in court of Odessa, as the suspect has lived in this city recently.
