Ukraine is considering the possibility of obtaining military boats to protect grain corridors in the Black Sea, which play a strategic role for the country. Such boats will not only be an effective means of sheltering from mines, but will also be able to carry a significant amount of weapons, such as portable anti-aircraft missile systems and machine guns.
It is noted that aircraft pilots can be equipped with sonar to detect submarines, as well as use helicopters and depth charges for effective defense. An important part of this measure is not only the protection of sea corridors, but also facilities such as ports, port facilities and bridges along the Black Sea coast.
Military expert Roman Svitan believes that receiving these boats will be an important help for the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the renewed fleet. According to him, the active use of a small-sized fleet is important for the effectiveness of defense in the Black Sea, which he characterizes as ideal for such a maneuvering fleet.
It is stated that the Black Sea, due to its specific properties, is beneficial for such maneuvering actions, and boats can perform tasks in wartime almost 100%. Svitan emphasized that small vessels have great maneuverability and speed, which makes them an important element of defense.
In particular, up to 10 such boats can be provided to the Black Sea Fleet of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which will help ensure constant control over the sea and increase defense efficiency.
Military boats, which can be used in both wartime and peacetime, are a strategic resource for Ukraine to protect sea corridors and patrol the economic zone along the coast.
