The UN condemned the attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus

The Secretary General of the United Nations Anthony Guterres made a decisive statement, condemning the attack on the diplomatic institution of Iran in Damascus, the capital of Syria. This attack led to the elimination of the Iranian commander and caused serious excitement in the international arena.

This was announced on Tuesday by a Secretary General Switch Stefan Duzharik.

According to him, "the principle of inviolability of diplomatic and consular premises and staff should be respected in any case in accordance with international law."

Guterres "repeated calls for all stakeholders to avoid attacks that can harm civilian population and civilian infrastructure," Duzharik said.

He added that the UN Secretary General also calls on all interested parties to show maximum restraint and avoid further escalation.

Guterres warns that any miscalculation can lead to an escalation of a conflict, which will have devastating consequences for civilian population, which is already undergoing unprecedented suffering in Syria, Lebanon, in the occupied Palestinian territory and all over the Middle East, Duzharik said.
