Ukraine launches informational campaign 'Take care of your heart'"

Ukraine begins the information campaign "Standing on the Watch of its Heart", presented by the executive director of the NGO "Center for Civic Representation" Life "Dmitry Kupir.

The main purpose of the campaign is to resist cardiovascular disease, which is a significant proportion of non-communicable diseases and take up to 90% of life. Cardiovascular problems, such as coronary heart disease, stroke and heart failure, lead to 64% of cases of these diseases. The dynamics of these diseases in Ukraine are negative, and the number of cases and deaths increases every year.

The information campaign is conducted by the NGO "Life" in cooperation with the MOH Public Health Center and the Ukrainian-Swiss project "Act for Health". Its purpose is to reduce the prevalence and premature mortality from non-communicable diseases in Ukraine, in particular, cardiovascular disease.

According to the campaign, there are five main behavioral risk factors for the development of cardiovascular disease: tobacco consumption, alcohol consumption, unhealthy nutrition, inactive lifestyle and clogged environment. Half of all cases of cardiovascular diseases and deaths are associated with these factors.

An important campaign audience is men aged 30-35, who have one or more behavioral risk factors. The purpose of the campaign is to offer this group healthy behaviors and prevent the wrong lifestyle.

Famous personalities such as singer Jamal, TV presenter Marichka Padalko and a pediatrician, Senior Lieutenant Alexander Yabchenko took part in the campaign. The campaign provides for the distribution of videos, information web resources and materials for medical facilities.

More than 7 million views on the Internet have been reached during the campaign, which will last until the end of 2023.
