The European Union threatens to suspend the visa -free regime with Georgia through the adoption of the Law on Inaging.
“We have agreed on visa liberalization with Georgia, but with certain conditions. We now have to check whether these conditions are still in place, ”the EU Ambassador to Tbilisi Pavel Gerchinsky said in an interview with Movement.
He noted that the suspension of the visa waiver does not need the consent of all countries, but only the majority, and he "is convinced that this will be considered as one of the options and Member States will make a decision."
At the same time, Gerchinsky noted that such a decision will be affected by ordinary Georgia citizens, which is not the purpose of the EU.
