The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine prepares new rules for the acquisition of driving license that complicate the process of passing the exams. The changes relate to the timing of the practical exam, which will now be available only in a longer period of time after a bad result.
According to the project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in case of failure on the practical exam, drivers will have to wait a long time to try to take the test again. After the first unsuccessful attempt, the repeated exam can be passed no earlier than 10 calendar days. If the second attempt is also unsuccessful, the driver will be able to try again in 20 days. For the third and subsequent attempts, the term increases to 30 days from the previous exam.
The theoretical exam will remain unchanged, but the new rules are focused on improving the practical driving skills to ensure better training of drivers.
The order of the order has already been published on the official portal for public discussion and is waiting for formal adoption. These changes, if approved, can significantly affect the process of obtaining a driver's license in Ukraine.
