The Houthis attacked a tanker on its way from Russia

In the Red Sea there was an attack by the Yemeni Hussites on two tankers, one of whom headed from Russia to China. This was reported by the Central Command of the USA (Centcom), emphasizing the seriousness of the situation in the region.

According to the information, the MT Bentley I tanker is owned by Israel under the flag. It was attacked by Hussites who receive support from Iran. The ship transported oil from Russia to China. The attack was attended by three surface ships: one unmanned surface (USV) and two small boats. Later, MT Bentley I was launched an anti -ship ballistic rocket from Yemen, but there are no reports of damage or injury.

Hutivit also attacked the MT Chios Lion tanker, which transported raw oil under the flag of Liberia. This vessel belongs to the Marshall Islands and is governed by Greece, but the crew did not seek help during the attack.

Responding to the threats, Centcom for the last day destroyed five unmanned aerial vehicles of Hussites. Three of them were destroyed over the Red Sea, and two over the Yamen regions. These actions were carried out to protect the freedom of navigation and improve the safety of international waters.
