Creation of a $100 billion fund for military aid to Ukraine by July - NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that by the July Summit, the Allies will be able to agree on the creation of a new long -term fund to support Ukraine.

He expressed confidence that NATO member countries would agree to the Financing Agreement of Ukraine by July, although some of them expressed doubts about this against the background of recent discussions.

Stoltenberg noted that regardless of the perspective of the end of the war in Ukraine, it is necessary to support the country for a long period, strengthening its defense to prevent future aggression.

He stressed that it is important to provide military support for the expulsion of Russian troops from Ukraine and to force Russian President Vladimir Putin to give up his occupation goals.

Stoltenberg previously stated the need to provide long -term support for Ukraine with a joint proposal for the Fund per 100 billion euros, but later said that discussing the new long -term fund continued, including dialogue with the Ukrainian side.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba supported the idea of the NATO Secretary General, but noted that in the current financial situation, the implementation of such an agreement is unlikely.
