The Persian Gulf countries want to avoid an Iran-Israel war

The countries of the Persian Gulf want to avoid a war between Iran and Israel, Reuters writes, citing its own sources in the Middle East.

They are trying with all their might to stop a full-scale war in the region, the likelihood of which has increased since Iran retaliated against Israel.

These countries fear that they will be quickly drawn into this war if it breaks out. Some states are geographically located right between the two adversaries, and on their territory there are several US military bases that have promised to defend Israel in the event of a direct conflict.

"No one needs escalation. Everyone wants to contain the situation somehow. The pressure is not only on Iran, but also on Israel, so that it does not take measures in response," said a person close to government circles in the Persian Gulf.
