Inflation forecast in Ukraine for 2024: the view of the President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks

The President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, Andriy Dubas, provided a forecast for inflation in Ukraine for 2024, pointing to several key factors that will affect the country's economic situation.

According to his forecast, inflation in 2024 may be in the range of 8-12%. This interval will depend on several factors, including the support of international partners, the level of money emission, the situation with the war in Ukraine and the dynamics of lending.

When justifying his forecast, Dubas noted that despite the decline in inflation rates, citizens still feel high prices for products due to last year's significant growth. He also emphasized that international support, especially financing part of the budget, plays an important role in stabilizing the economy.

"We feel that the economy can revive. The last 3-4 months indicate a trend of credit growth, and this will also affect inflation," added the president of the Association of Ukrainian Banks.

Noting numerous factors of uncertainty, such as the continuation of international support, the possibility of additional issuance of funds and the end of the conflict, Dubas identified a wide range of inflation expectations for 2024.
