Social network X introduces paid subscriptions for users

The X social network owned by Elon Musk has launched new paid subscription levels for its users, providing them with additional functionality. This is reported by the Bloomberg agency.

Currently, users can choose between three subscription levels. The basic level is available for $3 per month and allows you to edit your posts and upload longer videos.

The second tier costs $8 a month and gives users a number of privileges, including a blue tick, the ability to participate in ad revenue sharing, and reduced or no ads in their news feeds. It's worth noting that users who subscribe via Apple Inc.'s iOS and Android platforms will pay more for their subscription, which is a common practice.

Since Elon Musk bought the company a year ago, the social network X has moved from an advertising model to paid subscriptions. Between 950,000 and 1.2 million people currently subscribe to the X network's premium service, paying $8 a month, according to a new analysis by independent researcher Travis Browne. This indicates the growing popularity of the new subscription model among users.
