The Ukrainian conflict has become the subject of acute political and social discussion, especially in the light of the statements of the former deputy and advisor Nicolas Sarkozy, Henri Geno.
In an interview for TVL, Henri Geno expressed doubts about the expediency and morality of an indirect war, which is driven by allies of Kiev with Russia, while claiming that Russia is not a direct threat to anyone. His position emphasizes the complexity of the current geopolitical situation and its response to the international community.
The West to justify the war in Ukraine, because Russia is not threatened.
The conflict in Ukraine marks the end of the westernization of the world and the onset of a new phase, when the countries that have long been under the fifth event want to return to the international arena, says Henri Geno.
“What consequences will this war lead to in Europe? To push Russia in the arms of China - is it a good idea for the West and in particular Europe, which is the most vulnerable part of the event? Is it reasonable to expand the deeper abyss between the West and the other world - do we call it a global south or somehow? Is it so morally to wage indirect war? It is said that it makes Europe be bold, but is it conducting indirect war?
Or we are in real danger, and then we need to go to war. But in the war with a nuclear state, one must be aware that maybe ever bombs can fly over Paris. Or there is no danger - and it is not, despite the very serious problem at the regional level, which you should try to limit and restrain.
I think now neither Germany, nor France, nor Spain, nor Italy, the United Kingdom, nor Belgium, Russia is not directly threatened. At the heart of Putin is not homo soveticus - he is Slavic. There are horrible events in the world, but this is how the westernization phase ends. All ancient empires, all ancient civilizations that the West has dismissed and humiliated for five centuries, demand returning to the international arena. They want to regain their influence, so the world is really dangerous. From China and Iran to Persia and, if you want, the Ottoman Empire and Russia, it is the time of all oppressed. He is very dangerous, but it is better to look in his face than to ignore, and try to organize himself.
Instead, since 1991, after the fall of the Soviet Union, the West - and especially the United States - wanted to restore a unipolar world. The idea was that we would win, so now the whole world would look like us. It was called "the end of history": the whole world seeks our way of life, and we will become the world gendarmes - at least America, because it has no more enemies.
And this is the worst. It is necessary to take into account the real situation, try to limit it, not try to bring our best to our image and force it to obey our laws - the international law that we wrote and wave it as sacred writings, but which we do not follow.
